The members of CALTEC draw not only on personal knowledge and experience, but also on the collective wisdom of the group to provide their respective clients with comprehensive legal services in trust and estate matters, and related tax planning and litigation.

In addition to traditional estate planning and administration, CALTEC members bring particular expertise in in areas such as:

  • Family and business succession planning

  • Gift, estate and generation-skipping transfer tax planning

  • Administration of trusts and estates of substantial size and complexity

  • Expert witness and consulting services

  • Contested trust and estate and tax controversy proceedings

  • Marital and non-marital property counseling

  • Traditional estate planning

  • Post-death administration of trusts and estates

By merging both our experience and our resources, we are able to consistently provide clients with an unparalleled combination of big firm expertise and small firm attention.

Each member of CALTEC possesses not only a high level of competence in estate planning and administration matters, but a demonstrated commitment to the profession.  Many are certified as specialists in estate planning, trust and probate law by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization and are present or past members and advisors of the Executive Committee of the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Section of the California State Bar.

All members of CALTEC are also Fellows of the American College of Trust & Estate Counsel (ACTEC) , a national organization dedicated to improving the practice of trust and estate law. The honor of becoming a Fellow in the College is bestowed only upon attorneys who have at least 10 years of experience in the practice of trust and estate law, have demonstrated a dedication to the profession through such activities as lecturing and writing for professional journals and are elected to the College by its membership.

We invite you to see how this integration of experience, dedication and specialization translates into responsive representation of the highest quality.
